TO THE BEST CABLE SERIES ON THE AIR TODAY - IF YOU CAN FIND IT! )[Photo: c2000 Odyssey Network]

Would you like to be able to see a classic Hal Roach short subject airing on television - on a regular basis - in the 21st century?

Not just Laurel & Hardy, but Thelma Todd and Charley Chase (& more) as well?

Thanks to the Odyssey Channel, you can!

Premiering on Monday, April 5, 1999, the Odyssey series remains the best kept secret in cabledom - the best new show on cable television and the least publicized!

If you're lucky enough to have Odyssey
on your local cable station,
via a large satellite dish, or
through DirecTV [Channel 312],
you can watch Leonard Maltin Presents every week!

Every Saturday morning, three Hal Roach shorts are shown:

6:30 - 8:00 am, CST // 7:30 - 9:00 am, EST

To date, Leonard has shown 88 different shorts. See below for the details!

Something tells me that WILD BABIES, with its cannibals in Darkest Africa gags, won't be broadcast any time soon...but HIGH GEAR has. Here's a look at its cast, at one of several encounters with Kennedy the Cop.

CHARLEY CHASE:
I don't know if all of these are in existence,
but 38 of Charley's sound shorts
at Roach remain to be shown:
